Optika opened its doors in 1968 and has stayed put ever since — first on the corner, now tucked into the Yonge Eglinton Centre, the same family business midtown has trusted for generations of spectacles.

We're independent, which means our walls aren't dictated by a chain's buyer. We choose every frame ourselves, grind lenses to the millimetre, and fit them in person — the unhurried way an optician is supposed to.

Need an up-to-date prescription? We'll coordinate a comprehensive exam with a trusted optometrist nearby — bring the results straight back to us.

Bent temples, loose hinges, a screw gone walkabout — most repairs and adjustments are done while you wait, at no fuss.
